"All people working at the top of organisations need a mentor, I have two myself.” This reflects Tim’s commitment to the importance of ongoing personal and business development.
In order to choose a coach or mentor, it does help, but it is not essential to have a clear idea of where you want to be in say three years time. Having said all that some clients are working with Tim precisely because they are not sure where they want to be. Many are already successful people, but they want to know what else is there? Should they change career, sell the business, move from MD to Chair, go into partnership with a friend or emigrate? And it is not just about business, there is invariably an overlap with personal issues too.

The important thing is to build a relationship that suits the client whilst still delivering key objectives. We are all on a journey, and sometimes for all sorts of reasons at certain times, we may need a little help on the way. |
